Troy D. Chandler - Attorney

Super Lawyers 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009

"Protecting those who need it most is why I got into law," Troy Chandler says proudly.

The six year U.S. Marine Corp veteran of Operation Desert Storm admits he did not take the traditional route to the law. As a rifle platoon squad leader, Troy was responsible for the troop welfare and mission effectiveness of a 13-man rifle squad. "I have always felt like it was my responsibility to help and protect. That is why I joined the Marines, it was my duty and that is why I pursed my law degree."

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston, Troy went straight to the University of Houston Law Center where he was, Editor of the Houston Law Review, Member of the Order of the Coif, Member of the Order of the Barons and the recipient of the Dean's Scholarship and Public Interest Law Fellowship. "I really worked hard to be my best and learn as much as possible because I know the importance of the fundamentals. If you are not fundamentally sound in the military, people can get hurt and the same principles apply with the law."

Prior to joining Williams Kherkher, Troy was an attorney at the firm of Baron & Budd, P.C. and a partner at a Houston based plaintiff's firm. When asked what is different about Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas Law Firm, LLP, Troy does not hesitate, "Every client is a member of the family and they are important to everyone at the firm. From top to bottom and in between, clients are treated with respect and shown the dignity they deserve. The asbestos docket is especially sensitive to the needs of our clients. These are families that are facing, in many cases the most difficult and trying fight they will ever encounter. They are looking to us to be not just their advocate, but their sister or brother, mother or father in that courtroom."

When it comes to advice for his clients, Troy says this, "The legal system is a bunch of processes and maneuvers. It takes a while sometimes to get a resolution so be patient and know that we, as a firm, are prepared for whatever is brought our way. You are a member of the Williams Kherkher family and we will do whatever we can to get you resolution."

Troy does not limit his good works to the courtroom; he is also a very involved father and volunteer in the community donating many hours to local charities and organizations.
