Williams Family Places Winning Bid in Wine for Education Fundraiser

Houston, Texas - Sheridan and John Eddie Williams, together with five other Houstonians, donated $120,000 to fund Texas education scholarships through the 2010 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo International Wine Competition.

For their donation in support of higher education, the group of Houstonians will receive a bottle of this year's Grand Champion Best of Show Wine - a Cabernet Sauvignon from Davis Valley Vineyards in Napa Valley.

Despite pressure from the continuing economic recession, this year's winning donation surpassed last year's top bid by $20,000.
