NuCel Labs Issues Eye Drops Recall

Idaho Falls-based NuCel Labs announced a voluntary nationwide recall of all its Eye Drops and Eye/Ear Wash products. The recall was issued after an FDA inspection which revealed the presence of bacteria and particulate matter in the products, rendering them non-sterile. Usage of non-sterile eye drops carries a risk of eye infections, which, in rare cases, may lead to blindness.

The recall affects approximately 500 units of product nationwide. NuCel has ceased the production and distribution of the affected products and advises consumers not to use any products they may have on hand. No injuries or illnesses have been reported as of yet.
