WK Partners with HTLA to Support Economically Disadvantaged Elementary
HOUSTON, TX (December 20, 2011) – Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP, is proud to announce their annual support and participation in the Houston Trial Lawyers Association-Foundation partnership with John F. Kennedy Elementary.
Seventeen years ago, past Presidents of the Houston Trial Lawyer’s Association created a Foundation to help support a local economically disadvantaged elementary school, John F. Kennedy. John Eddie Williams Jr. was one of those founding members of the Houston Trial Lawyers Foundation. Since then his law firm has provided employees in classrooms to serve as mentors, tutors and business partners for the school. Each year Foundation volunteers hold Christmas parties in the classrooms and provide all children at the school a gift. For each of those parties John Eddie’s firm has “adopted” at least one classroom and sometimes several. That tradition continued in 2011 when the firm adopted four classrooms, providing gifts and snacks for 100 children in three different grade levels.
Volunteers from Williams Kherkher included:
- Rick Jenkins
- Erica Natt
- Becky Birkholz
- Laura Copado
- Jessica Watson
- Cheryl Benestante
- Dave Morin
