Troy — Driver Injured After 18-Wheeler Collides with SUV on Interstate 35

Posted on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 11:25 pm

On Monday, March 18, 2019, a man was seriously injured after an accident involving an 18-wheeler happened on Interstate 35 in Troy, Texas.

According to initial reports, an SUV was traveling on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 when it struck a barrier before getting struck by an 18-wheeler. The driver of the SUV was airlifted to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with life-threatening injuries.

Investigation is still ongoing for this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victim. Alas, there are countless other victims who suffered the same fate. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. This can be translated to be about 6 million car accidents every year and about 37,000 people dying from them.

Additionally, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is another kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million tractor-trailers roaming in the United States, and each year, they get involved in about 500,000 accidents. And since the size of a tractor-trailer is enormous, the results of this kind of accident are catastrophic, from a severe injury to death.

Vehicular accidents, especially those involving trucks, are quite difficult to the victims and their respective families. Thankfully, there are lawyers that specialize in truck accidents, so if you are a victim of this kind of accident, or you know someone who is, or you lost a loved one because of this, then please never hesitate to ask for help from these lawyers. They will help you in protecting your rights and in getting you the justice that you deserve.

Temple — Collision Involving 18-Wheeler on Interstate 35

Posted on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 10:29 pm

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, a multi-vehicular collision involving an 18-wheeler happened in Temple, Texas.

According to initial reports, an 18-wheeler and two other vehicles collided on Interstate 35. The victims only suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and they are brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. This collision caused the police to issue a traffic alert where traffic is being diverted at exit 304 and the HK Dodgen Loop.

It is great to hear that no one was seriously injured in this accident. However, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. Carthage — Woman Dead After 2-Vehicle Crash on Texas State Highway 315

Posted on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 at 11:51 pm

At around 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, a woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck that happened in Panola County, Texas.

According to preliminary investigation, Carolyn Barnett Fults, 66, was driving a 2013 Hyundai Sonata westbound at a high rate of speed on Texas State Highway 315, 11 miles southwest of Carthage, when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle. As a result, the car crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2012 Volvo truck-tractor rig that was towing a semi-trailer.

Fults was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver, 66-year-old Robert James Sanders, was treated at UT Health Carthage then released.

It is unfortunate to hear of the death of Carolyn Barnett Fults. Sadly, she is not the only one whose life is taken away by a car accident. Vehicular accidents like this are awfully common nowadays. In a statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents occur almost every minute of every day, and for every 16 minutes, someone dies from a car accident. Van — 2 People Hospitalized After Rear-End Collision on Interstate 20

Posted on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 at 12:13 am

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, two people were injured after a rear-end collision that happened on Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County, Texas.

According to initial reports, an 18-wheeler rear-ended a car on Interstate 20, just west of the overpass at FM 314. Two people were trapped inside the car, and firefighters had to extract them. The unidentified driver of the car was brought to a Tyler hospital with serious injuries while the passenger was brought to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers are still investigating this accident.

It is unfortunate to hear of what happened to the victims in this accident. Alas, they are not the only ones who are affected by a vehicular accident. Car accidents are a problem in this day and age, and yet, they still continue to happen on a regular basis. Additionally, an accident involving a tractor-trailer is another kind of vehicular accident, and it is a deadly one just because of the fact that a tractor-trailer is one of the largest and most dangerous vehicles in the world. Wylie — Mother, Daughter Injured After Road Rage Incident on TX-78

Posted on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 at 12:12 am

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019, a woman, her daughter, and her granddaughter were injured after they got caught in the middle of a road rage incident in Wylie, Texas.

According to initial reports, Jessica Merritt was driving her daughter to gymnastics along with her mother, Judy Faldon. Two black trucks ahead of Merritt’s vehicle were already involved in a road rage altercation on Texas State Highway 78, and they were trying to cut each other off. One of the trucks then moved in front of Merritt and slammed on his breaks. Merritt tried to change lanes, but unfortunately, she collided with the other truck, which caused the vehicle to go off the road, through the trees, and into a ditch.

Merritt, Faldo, and the young girl sustained injuries, and they were brought to a nearby hospital where they are now recuperating.

It is great to hear that the victims are now recovering from their injuries. Unfortunately, there are countless other victims who are not as lucky.
