Deep vein thrombosis complications

Deep-vein thrombosis (DVT), or the condition were blood clots are formed in the lower extremities, usually in the lower legs, can cause complications that may lead to a pulmonary embolism and post-thrombotic syndrome.
DVT may lead to a serious pulmonary embolism (PE) if a piece of a blood clot breaks off and blocks the blood vessels in the lungs. A pulmonary embolism can be deadly if it is not treated as it damages the lungs.
DVT may also lead to post-thrombotic syndrome if it damages valves in the veins, causing blood concentrations to form in the lower leg. Long-term pain, swelling, and leg ulcers may occur to people with post-thrombotic syndrome.
Unfortunately, deep-vein thrombosis is a serious health issue that has been linked with the use of Yasmin birth control pills. If you have suffered such a complication after using these dangerous birth control pills, our legal team at Williams Kherkher may be able to help you take legal action for your suffering.
