A group of medical experts and researchers is asking a medical journal to retract a published study that testosterone supplements heighten the risks of heart problems, according to a report published on March 26.
According to a letter sent by the Androgen Study Group to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA0), they believe that the corrections done to the study published by JAMA last November effected its credibility. Study author Michael Ho, MD, PHD, and his group, however, have stood behind their findings that testosterone use by older men may increase the risk to a stroke or heart attack.
This study and others have linked increased heart problem to testosterone use in older men who have low-T.
